Booking & Availability

Q — How do I book my wedding date for bridal hair and makeup in Iowa?

A A signed contract and non-refundable retainer are required to reserve your date (the retainer goes toward your total).

I offer a limited number of on-location bridal hair and makeup services in Iowa, so dates are secured on a first-come, first-served basis.

Once booked, you’ll receive a confirmation email with next steps, including trial scheduling, your style questionnaire, and inspiration guidance.

Q — How far in advance should I book a bridal hair and makeup artist in Iowa?

A — I recommend booking 9–12 months in advance, especially for spring through fall weddings.

Most Iowa brides secure their beauty team shortly after booking their venue, and dates can fill quickly. I am currently booking 2026–2027 weddings with limited availability.

Q — Do you offer payment plans?

A — Yes—payment plans are available.

A portion is due to reserve your date, with the remaining balance split into two payments leading up to your wedding day.

Q — Should I wait to book until I have my final bridal party headcount?

A — No—availability is limited, so it’s best to secure your date first.

You can add services later, with up to 90 days before your wedding to finalize your bridal party hair and makeup.

Q — How long does hair and makeup take on the wedding day?

A — Timing varies slightly, but here’s a general guide:

  • Bride: 60–90 minutes for hair and makeup

  • Bridal party: 30–45 minutes per person

Your custom timeline will be created based on your final headcount, location, and photography schedule to ensure a smooth, stress-free morning.

Trials & Prep

Q — Can I book a bridal hair and makeup trial in Iowa before reserving my wedding date?

A — Yes—trials are available for non-booked brides based on availability.

However, a trial does not reserve your wedding date. All dates are secured with a signed contract and retainer on a first-come, first-served basis.

If your date is booked before your trial takes place, your trial retainer will be refunded. To move forward without risk, I recommend securing your date first.

Q — Can my mom or bridesmaids book a trial run as well?

A — Yes! I offer trial runs for bridesmaids and family members upon request.

These are scheduled on the same day and location as the bride’s trial for the most seamless experience.

Q — When should I schedule my bridal hair and makeup trial?

A — I recommend scheduling your bridal hair and makeup trial 2–3 months before your wedding.

This timing allows your skin prep to be complete and your hair length and color to be close to your wedding day look.

Trials typically last 1.5–2 hours, and you’ll receive a prep guide, outfit recommendations, and a short questionnaire ahead of your appointment.

Q — Where do bridal hair and makeup trials take place?

A — I am a fully on-location bridal hair and makeup artist in Iowa, so I travel to you for both your trial and wedding day.

Travel is included within my service areas, allowing for a relaxed and convenient experience in your home, hotel, or getting-ready location.
