Hi, I’m Jasmine
Founder of Alter Image Bridal Hair & Makeup, bridal beauty educator, and mentor for artists building businesses that grow with their lives.
My journey began in Charleston, South Carolina, where I studied cosmetology at Paul Mitchell The School Charleston. While in school, I had the opportunity to assist backstage at Charleston Fashion Week — an experience that introduced me to the fast-paced, creative world of professional beauty and ultimately led me to bridal. I returned to work the event for four consecutive years, refining advanced techniques in polished hairstyling, frizz-free finishing, and makeup that photographs flawlessly under high-definition cameras — skills that translate beautifully into timeless, camera-ready bridal beauty
As my experience in weddings grew, so did my vision. I founded a bridal hair and makeup team that quickly expanded, which led me to relocate to the Charlotte area to serve both North and South Carolina. Over time, I built and led a team of nearly 20 artists while developing the systems, structure, and automation needed to support sustainable, long-term business growth — without sacrificing personal life.
After openly sharing business growth strategies with other bridal beauty professionals, I began mentoring artists who wanted more than just busy schedules — they wanted true business evolution. Today, I help beauty professionals implement strong systems, build teams, hire backend support, and create businesses that can grow, run smoothly, and allow them to truly enjoy the life they’re working so hard to build. I also host the Beauty and the Network Podcast, where I share business strategy, mindset, and real conversations about growth in the beauty industry.
My work has been featured in publications such as Martha Stewart Weddings, Southern Bride, and Brides, and I am a contributing author in the bestselling book Women Who Boss Up. I’ve had the honor of speaking at wedding industry events on strategic business growth and was invited to speak for HoneyBook as an educator, sharing expertise on systems and sustainable business structure. I’ve also been a guest on 20+ podcasts discussing business, beauty, and entrepreneurship.
Today, as my family and I prepare to relocate to Iowa, I’m excited to begin a new chapter — continuing to serve brides with elevated, natural bridal beauty while mentoring artists who want to build businesses that evolve alongside their lives.
At the heart of Alter Image is one core belief: beauty should be inclusive, personal, and empowering. Every person who sits in my chair — regardless of skin tone, hair texture, background, or who they love — is fully welcomed, fully respected, and fully celebrated.
Whether you are a bride, creative partner, podcast host, or artist seeking mentorship — you are warmly welcome here.
