Holy Growth!
This decade has been one for the books but better yet this last year has been huge for alter-image. From growing my once solo team to a traveling team of 14 hair and makeup artist in Charleston,Columbia,Rock Hill, Charlotte and Raleigh has left me in almost disbelief.
I’m a true believer that the universe will give you exactly what you need and point you in the direction your meant to on at the perfect time. Its our personal job to listen to our guts and aim for the stars.

This is me (Jasmine) with my baby face making sure that Sarah Wedding Veil is perfectly secured for her roof top wedding at one of my favorite hotel’s and wedding venue’s in Charleston The Restoration.
Fun fact about me is that i rarely wear makeup and my hair is normally in a braid or bun because outside of providing wedding hair and makeup in the Carolina at heart im a true tom boy (but with a slight heel addiction lol)

Our course i had to bring my Harry Potter Shirt out for extra comfort not knowing that i would be in photos that day but completely made a bang over on our Instagram page as my shirt got us 3 bookings from Harry Potter loving brides lol
My proudest and biggest moments in 2019 was stepping way out of my comfort zone which has now turned into my happy place is teaching. OMG who would have thought that i would enjoy teaching in a class room. Here this was my very first class that i taught at Paul Mitchell The School in Charleston to there advance students. After teaching bridal Hair Styling 101 to these babies i was asked back 2 more times where i taught night school (class of 20+ students) then later to teach day school (class of 40+) and loved every moment of it.
I remember the day when i was about eight years old and wanted to be a teacher but never knew what exactly id even want to teach. It found me in it’s own funny way. Since teaching those classes in 2019 i started the education branch of my business which is called Beauty and The Network
Being able to mentor and guide wedding and beauty professionals who have a hard time growing their business means more than words to me. You see Alter-Image will be celebrate its 6 birthday in September of 2020 and to celebrate this milestone as a full time business owner, office staff,and full hair and makeup staff just blows my mind.
I would have never imagined that my because would have allowed me the amount of opportunities that ive gotten and allowed me such freedom and flexibility to design the type of life i want to live. From working 5 part time jobs at once and not knowing what sleep feel like was my norm sadly and getting someone to a place where the can hustle less and make more income so they can spend time with there family is priceless to me.

It’s me again with a bun..again with another one of our Alter-Image Brides who’s name is also Sarah lol. This sweet bride had such treat on her wedding day on Folly Beach even with all of the craziness of having her wedding the same day as Folly Palooza (Wedding Tip * Make sure you wedding does not land on a major local event in town if so add 30-45 extra mins to your drive time) Thank goodness im OCD and im literally always early for everything.

Even thought i own about 2 pair of flats to my 10 pairs of heels here is a rare occasion of me all dressed up in my home town of Charleston,SC. If you asked me 3 years ago if i would ever move id say there’s no chance at all. But i sit here typing this blog from Rock Hill, South Carolina that we just moved to a bit over 6 months ago so that i can expand my business even more. Now we are prepping to head a bit more north and relocate to the North Carolina area around may of 2020 and im so excited for it. I don’t know what 2020 has in store my my company but i am welcoming ti all with open arms and an open mind.
