1. When Should I Get My Wedding Nails Done?

Nails, nails, nails! This is something that honestly depends on your style; we’ve seen many a bride throw some polish on the Day Of. While this is doable, you have to be mindful as we all know what it’s like to paint your nails and being stressed to move about until they’re dry! Brides are already likely to not have time to eat on their big day, so don’t make it harder on yourself by throwing freshly painted nails into the mix if you don’t have to. It’s a good idea, (if you’re going to a salon), to book your nail appointment one to two days before your wedding. This way they’ll still look clean, fresh and unchipped when you walk down the aisle! (Be sure to call ahead should you have any questions about manicure styles)

2. What Hair and Makeup Appointments Should I Schedule Before My Wedding?

Hair and Makeup, everyone’s favorite part! Now if you’ve been with us for a while, or have seen recent blog posts, you know the importance we stress about booking a Bridal Trial for Hair and Makeup. This not only helps you but also helps your stylist/MUA in the long run as you’re able to go over the different looks you have in mind. Depending on when you book your trial, you should also keep in mind any color/cut appointments that may be necessary before your wedding. Are you wanting some highlights, lowlights or a different color altogether? Should you get extensions to enhance your look? Notify your wedding stylist as well as your usual stylist so that you can figure out what needs to be done. For color/cuts, give yourself about a week and a half to let things settle without needing a refresh; book your Bridal Trial around 3 months prior, or when it fits your schedule if you’re a destination bride!

3. Should I Get a Facial Before My Wedding?

Facials aren’t a complete necessity when it comes to planning your wedding, but if it’s in your budget and you have questions that you’d like to ask a professional esthetician it’s absolutely beneficial. Of course, your esthetician will go over any issues with you and help you find the service that best suits your skin’s needs. Staying on the safe side, if you’ve never gotten one done or are opting for something a little more intense like a Microderm, it’s best to book your appointment three weeks prior. This gives your skin time to react and calm back down, especially since things like Microderms can cause redness. For those more soothing and relaxing facials, the week-of is just fine! As we said, facials are not a complete necessity so if it doesn’t fit the budget, being intentional with your skincare ritual will have your skin Goddess Glow ready as well.

4. Should I Schedule a Wax Before My Wedding?

Waxing, either you embrace the pain or it simply isn’t your thing. If getting waxed is a part of your routine or something that you’re considering pre-wedding, you want to be extra mindful of when you book this/these appointment(s). Ideally, if you’re a regular, you want to stick to your schedule or work it to where you’re able to get waxed about two days prior to your wedding. This allows ample time for redness/swelling to go down, however, it is highly recommended you go ten days prior to your wedding if it’s your first time. If necessary, you can chat with your esthetician about coming in for a touch up a few days prior! Be sure to take a nice warm shower/bath prior to going in, and to exfoliate (as always!) especially the couple days before your appointment. This will help the process, and your esthetician will thank you!

5. (When) Should I Schedule a Spray Tan Appointment Before My Wedding?

For our Tanning beauties out there, this one’s for you! If you’re wanting that little extra glow and are thinking about getting a spray tan there are a few things to keep in mind. Again, the key here along with the timing is exfoliation. If possible, it’s been recommended to schedule a spray tan trial as well as checking with your specialist on how long it will take to set in before you can shower that day. This should be your last appointment, so any hair/makeup, nails, waxing, or spa appointments should be taken care of prior to your service to avoid any smearing or transferring! You should be in the clear to set this appointment two+ days before your wedding day.
